The family of basketball superstar Robert “Sonny” Jaworski thanked the general public for wishing the basketball icon well and asked netizens to continue praying for the ‘Big J’ as he is making good progress and moving forward to recovery.
According to a statement released by the family, the living legend suffered a non-life threatening blood abnormality which caused the former senator to experienced difficulty in regaining his strength and normal well-being. The family assured the general public specially the fans that Jaworski is oing well and is on his way to full and complete recovery.
Here is the full statement posted on the official Facebook page of Jaworski:
“Last year he was hospitalized due to a bout with pneumonia. He, however, tested negative for COVID-19. Due to a non-life threatening blood abnormality that was discovered by his doctors in 2016, former Senator Jaworski has experienced difficulty in regaining his strength, weight, and normal well-being. Despite this, he is making good progress and is slowly moving forward,” wrote the family.
“At this time of his recuperation, our family would like to request for your continued well wishes and prayers for our beloved father. Allow us to thank everyone in advance for respecting our request for privacy while he is on the way to full and complete recovery.”
The family expressed their sincerest gratitude his fans and followers as Jaworski celebrated his 75th birthday last March 8:
“We would like to express our most sincere and heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all those well-wishers, and those that sent their greetings and tributes. Natuwa at napaligaya niyo po ang aming ama. Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat.”
